For those who remember the Coupe De Monde as their first international tournament, this is the away shirt. BYU was admitted to the Rocky Mountain Conference in 1921 and had its first winning year in 1929 under the helm of coach G. Ott Romney, who BYU recruited from Montana State University the year before. The “third” jersey should be distinct from the “first” (home) and “second” (away) and thus a visiting team should always have at least one suitable alternative choice. This year the England kit was designed by Nike and features a central number, retro football kits badge and sponsor combination – which many critics have likened to the ‘96 design – but will the 2020 shirt stand the test of time?
